San Diego BBB Honors Companies For Marketplace Ethics

Chosen for their allegiance to trust and ethics in the marketplace, eight finalists and eight winners accepted the Better Business Bureau’s Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics on December 13th at the Town & Country Hotel.

Having just completed its 14th year, The Torch Awards is the BBB’s annual awards ceremony that honors the local community’s most outstanding and ethical companies, both for-profit and not-for-profit. Each winner and finalist demonstrates through a comprehensive award entry process, their commitment to ethical business practices in each facet of their company. This is including, but not limited to business operations and employee, vendor and customer relations.

“These days, consumers are spending their money carefully; they want to do business with companies they can trust. The BBB’s Torch Awards program is an excellent identifier that consumers use to choose businesses, and gives winners and finalists an edge in a very competitive marketplace,” said Sheryl Bilbrey, BBB President and CEO. “The Torch Awards is designed to promote ethics in the community, but even more, the program was established to recognize those businesses who, even in tough times, remain honorable and fair.”
