For as long as the Better Business Bureau has existed so has the Better Business Bureau Foundation. A 501(c)3 organization, the BBB Foundation was established to protect, inform, and distribute both funds and resource to better the development and welfare of the resident and business communities of San Diego and Imperial Counties. The Foundation contributes to or sponsors activities and events that are exclusively charitable and educational.
Specifically, your Better Business Bureau participates in programs that benefit high school students, Military service members, trustworthy businesses and thousands of consumers who look to the BBB every day for up-to-date, helpful information and programs about scams, frauds and choosing ethical businesses.
In order to provide these programs and services to the over three million people living in San Diego and Imperial Counties, the San Diego BBB Foundation fundraises by holding an annual golf tournament that honors our late CEO Gerry Wilson. Hosting over 100 golfers every year, money is raised primarily through an auction that is held with generous donations from businesses around the community.
