July 20, 2012 (SAN DIEGO, CA) – San Diego BBB is pleased to announce that a new partnership in their Dispute Resolution services with professional mediator Arthur L. Shingler III, Esq. has given the organization new focus and passion.

The Law & Mediation Office of Arthur L. Shingler III, Esq. will be assisting the BBB with their already on-going mediation services. The guidance and expertise that Shingler will provide is welcomed by the organization as they are always looking for new ways to ensure fair and objective transactions between businesses and consumers.

Mediation is part of the BBB Dispute Resolution services, and it is a next step a consumer can take when they feel the normal complaint process is not working. Mediation, while non-binding, involves both the consumer and business sharing their side of the story with an objective third-party representative, who then makes a decision on the case at hand.

“At one time or another everyone has been in a disagreement with someone else,” said BBB President and CEO Sheryl Bilbrey. “When you’re a customer and you have a disagreement with a business, the place to turn for help is the BBB. Our Dispute Resolution services are top-notch, and work each day to try to make them even more exceptional at helping both consumers and businesses.

When a mediation works it is a win-win situation, where both people are able to walk away happy with the outcome. This helps make sure everyone is happy instead of having a winner and a loser, like you would in a court of law.

The best news of all is that this service is offered to consumers of BBB Accredited businesses totally free of charge through the generous support of our partners: the National Conflict Resolution Center and the Law & Mediation Office of Arthur L. Shingler III, Esq.
