Those who want to help support the families and victims of November 5th’s tragic shooting on Fort Hood can send donations to the Central Texas-Fort Hood Chapter of the Association of the United States Army.
There is no overhead associated with this victims’ assistance fund – every penny of every dollar will go to aid the victims and families. AUSA will work with Fort Hood leadership in determining how to best spend money donated to this fund to support those in need; local oversight, minimal red tape, every penny of every dollar.
Donations can be mailed to:

Attn: Community Response to 11/5
P.O. Box 10700

We are all hurting.
We did not want to believe what we saw and heard - and feel compelled to respond. Central Texans are strong, and caring - especially for our military.
So, our AUSA Chapter has stepped forward and is answering the question: what can I do to help?
The answer: Contribute to a Central Texas-Fort Hood Chapter, AUSA fund established to appropriately memorialize this tragedy, and care for the affected Soldiers and their Families.
At this moment, we do not know just what those needs might be, but we have learned from prior experience that such tragedies always create need - and Americans always want to help.
Our chapter (an entirely volunteer led 501C3 organization, IRS Tax # 53-0193361) has a 50-year record of always supporting our Soldiers and their Families. One hundred percent of all funds received will go to meet these needs.
So, if you are so inclined, we invite you to contribute, by check or credit card online via Pay Pal, to:
