The BBB website has some new faces in circulation. Recently, we changed our homepage to feature our Torch Award winners from 2010. Throughout all of 2011, these winners will be featured on our website, which is only one of the benefits of being chosen as an example of ethics in the San Diego marketplace.
Not only are Torch Award winners featured on the home page of the highly trafficked bbb.org website, they benefit by gaining the unprecedented opportunity for public recognition and well-deserved visibility, and are celebrated for the high standards of which they have dedicated themselves. Check out our website today to see who 2010’s Torch Award winners were, or CLICK HERE .
Not in the know?
The BBB Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics recognizes those businesses and organizations that have shown their commitment to fair and honest business practices by turning in a comprehensive entry that reflects that commitment. A panel of independent judges selects a company from each size category to receive this award, and those companies move on to the Council of Better Business Bureau’s International Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics competition.
Because the entry process is extensive, the BBB offers free, one-hour workshops designed to help entrants prepare their company's best entry. Entrants will be guided step-by-step through the entry process, offering ideas for how to complete the entry form and how to review the judging criteria. Please click here for information on 2011 workshops.
2011 entries are due by 5pm on Wednesday, August 31, 2011, and the winners and finalists will be announced at a special awards luncheon on Tuesday, December 6, 2011. See the 2011 ENTRY CRITERIA HERE.
Organizations that are committed to ethics know that trust in the marketplace is the key to their company’s survival and growth. Maintaining ethical behavior is fundamental to building relationships, and ultimately, building trust. Not only is the commitment to ethical business practices responsible, it’s just good business.
